I absolutely LOVE this movie, its my all time fav. I've probably watched it over 20 times and I will most likely watch it 20 more times! I remember when I first saw this movie and my parents would change the channel whenever there was a tiny makeout scene (good times)! Alicia Silverstone did an amazing job as Cher. One day I WILL have a rotating closet! HAHA <3

A Long Overdue Update

I've missed my blog so much! Its spring break so now I'm back and free to do all the things I LOVE to do! Here's what's new with me:
1. Makeup first haha! I switched foundations from my past beloved MAC to Bare Escentuals and despite my hesitation at first, now I'm HOOKED. There's just NO comparison and I will do a review in a separate post.
2. My summer shopping is officially done I only bought essentials - bathing suits, shorts, dresses, sandals, tops... I'm saving accessories for when Ms.Bri is in town! (Request if you want haul pictures)
3. I FINALLY scored some Tory Burch flats (which I will review in a separate post as well) but for my first impression I can honestly say these are the first pair of flats that have NEVER murdered the back of my ankles!
4. I'm still stalking the Armani Exchange handbag I mentioned a few posts ago. I REFUSE TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR IT!! =[
5. I met my boyfriend's extended family and absolutely love everyone <3 and he finally met my MOM! Who everyone thinks is my sister btw lol
6. I've spent the past couple of months reuniting with my old hs bestie its like time never passed we're just as close and people constantly ask us if we're related!
7. I got a new phone which I've already dropped more times than I have fingers to count.
8. I'm contemplating on no longer continuing making youtube videos. There are too many guru's out there and editing is so time consuming for me I just don't have the time for it. Besides my blog is my baby. I won't delete my youtube channel though, I will leave the videos up for you to enjoy.

I'm stopping at #8 because it's my favorite number and that's pretty much everything that's new with me. Expect new posts coming up. I can't wait!

Hunter Update!

I haven't done a Hunter update in a whileeeeee so this post is more than appropriate! This semester I'm taking four classes which is my usual load, some of my classes are a bit of a drag but I'm sucking it up (every class can't be fun, or can it?) Despite the fact that I'm not fully fond of all of my classes, I have to say this is my best semester yet. This probably has everything to do with the fact that I'm an Upper Sophomore now and I'm actually comfortable at Hunter now (I don't want to transfer to Columbia University anymore) and I'm not afraid of meeting new people (yes it took two years!) I have my friends to thank for that, without them my 2 1/2 hr breaks would probably be unbearable (you should hear the kinds of craziness we get ourselves into during that short amount of time). On top of all of that I'm on the Dean's List once again (this is my second time) for achieving a GPA of 3.50+ last semester. To give you guys a glimpse of my schedule here's what happened today...

9:45-11:00 Music... I don't LOVE this class but I'm doing GREAT in it.
11:10-12:00 Astronomy... Hey who would've thought that I would actually ENJOY learning about our solar system, the universe and what not? I know I didn't!
12:00-2:45 AHHH my favorite time of the day! I usually eat, laugh my head off, and people-watch during this hour.
2:45-4:00 Post- Colonial Literature... Personally this subject isn't really my area of interest but once I actually start participating, theres no shutting me up!

If you haven't noticed by now, I have a problem....or rather an addiction. A SHOPPING ADDICTION. It's so bad of me! I always find a justification for my purchases and I'm the kind of girl who likes her money right where she can see it... in her closet. Because of my (minor) problem, I almost never have money ICE (in case of emergencies) and I never have enough to do fun stuff although shopping to me is beyond fun at this point its like my therapy HAHA! Anywho the point of this post is not just to admit my terrible addiction to everyone who reads my blog... its to talk about how I plan on breaking this nasty habit. I've made the following plans that will FORCE me to save $$$!
1. I plan on going away for spring break and although I don't know where yet I have $0 entitled for that trip so I must start saving up ASAP!!!
2. I also plan on going on a summer shopping weekend with Bri of briunscriped. I also have $0 as of now for that.
All of this being said... as of NOW there will be no more purchases on makeup, shoes, and clothing for myself in order to save up for my future plans. I'll have weekly updates of course (what's the point if I don't check in with you guys?)!

What a Christmas!

I usually spend every year with my family either in NJ or PA, with the exception of last year. I guess I must've forgotten how crazy yet fun things get when my entire family comes together. This year I made my way over to PA with my brother in a van where the driver got lost one too many times! I finally got to see my cousins especially one of them who flew in from FL just to be with the fam. My aunts and uncles were hilarious as always and the presents were better than I expected. I loved staying up till 5am pigging out on sammiches and watching "The Other Guys" with my cousins and I realized that as annoying as they can sometimes be, I had really missed them tons! So all that being said this Christmas couldn't have been any better!

P.S. My favorite presents this yr came from the boy <3

I don't know about you guys, but FINALS week is quickly approaching and I'm panicking! Ok, not really but just the thought of having to take all these exams, write final papers, and wait weeks for your final grade is stressful enough to induce a COMA! On top of that I'm supposed to register for classes next semester and I have NO IDEA what classes I want to take! =[ Oh and did I mention I NEED to keep a 3.60 or higher average by the end of this semester so I can hopefully transfer to Columbia University?! Back from MIA & Some October Beauty Favorites =]

Yes I'm back from MIA and I don't mean FLORIDA! HAHA! The past two weeks have honestly been some of the craziest I've had in a while, all because I was bombarded with M I D T E R M S! UGH! While sometimes I get a nice kick out of lectures, I've just dreaded the past few weeks and I was definitely wishing I wasn't a college student. Thankfully, I'm done with all my midterms and I can breathe deeply again (until December that is). I've really been into my makeup collection this month and I've added a few new pieces I can't wait to review. I've also been dying to make a post on my October Favorites especially because my 19th birthday was this month! So here it is, enjoy! =]

Face:

Revlon ColorStay Foundation in 310 Warm Golden $10-13
First of all this foundation blows my MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NW25 right out the water. I'm never going back to Studio Fix. This foundation really does everything it claims to do, the COLORjustSTAYS! Its amazing! One of the three problems I have with this foundation is that one, it dries too quickly but I've found that when I use it with a stippling brush (I use a Sephora Platinum Stippling Brush) I just have to spray it one or twice with MAC Fix Plus (thank God I found a use for it) so it gives me more time to work with the foundation, and it blends beautifully! Two, there is no pump! ENOUGH SAID. Three, the color range is really good but it takes a few trial and errors, I had to try out three different bottles before I decided on this one. For a drugstore foundation, this is truly amazing. In all honesty I really like this better than my old MAC one, I've gotten a handful of compliments and strangers have even asked me what I used on my face! I think it speaks for itself.

Eyes:

Urban Decay Naked Eye Palette $44

Let me just say this, I've never been an eyeshadow kind of girl because I've always been afraid of contouring, defining, and blah blah blah. But when I first saw this palette and all of the raves for it (and I mean I watched a million and one review videos before purchasing this) I knew I HAD TO HAVE IT! Sadly, it was sold out everywhere, and some people were even charging double for it on Amazon.com! CRAZY! Luckily I walked into a Sephora one day with high hopes, and there it was! I nearly did a back-flip!! I found the price a little steep but it truly is an amazing value, for someone like me its everything I'll ever need! You get 12 neutral everyday wearable eyeshadow colors, a double ended black/brown eyeliner pencil, and a mini primer potion (not shown above) so you get the best pigmentation and staying power out of your eyeshadows. Of course nothing is perfect, one of my favorite shadows in this palette is Sidecar but it has an unbelievable amount of fallout! This is because it has glitter chunks in it and it ends up everywhere on your face! The best way to use this color is to tap the excess off the brush and apply loose translucent powder underneath your eyes before applying your eye look so afterwards you can just swipe away any of the fallout. This palette is permanent in Urban Decay's collection but its still sold out in most places, if you happen to run across it do a couple of swatches and you'll see what I mean!

Cheeks:

MAC Liberty Of London Blush in Prim and Proper $25+ on eBay
I didn't want to include a limited edition product because I know its not sold by MAC anymore but you can still find it on eBay by top rated users and this blush is EXTREMELY dupeable. Although I change my blush like I change my mood, I've pretty much been reaching for this nonstop this month because its a plumy pink color and it shows up great on my cheeks without making me look overdone. Perfect for the Fall!

Lips:

MAC VIVA GLAM V Lipstick $14.50
This is really one of those "My Lip Color But Better" lipsticks. Its a true lip "nude" for when you want a lipstick to match the rosy pigmentation of your lips while adding some life to them with the tiny glitter specks in it. Its a LUSTRE finish so its far from drying. The packaging is different from regular MAC Lipsticks because its part of the VIVA GLAM collection where all of the net proceeds go to the AIDS Fund. So kiss with a cause!

Ahhhh I'm back! Sorry I've been MIA for the past two weeks, but I'm just about done with my first two weeks of my second year of college (really like 1 1/2 weeks bc of all the holidays)! So far my classes have proven to be nothing I can't handle, the majority of them are boring lectures but hey that's what college life is ALL ABOUT (insert sarcastic face here). Nothing else exciting has happened besides a bunch of smoothie runs, a shattered MAC Blot powder (='[ RIP), shopping, and winning Ne-Yo concert tickets!

I had completely forgotten that during the summer I had sent out an email to an ad that was running in Seventeen Magazine for a chance to score Ne-Yo tickets, I never even got a confirmation reply back so I tossed the idea of seeing him out the window until I got home today and saw a suspicious envelope with SEVENTEEN written on it in NEON PINK. I've been subscribed to SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE since I was like 14 and I'm now going on 19 so my first reaction was "CRAP my subscription ended!" As soon as I opened the envelope out fell two purple wrists bands and the first thing I did was call my BFF! I'm super excited to go with her, we've always gone to events like these together since HS!

Last Day of Summer

If you asked me in May what I was going to do on my very last day of summer vacation I would've said "I'm going to the beach and tanning my ass off!" and that's been my plan this entire summer except its been raining cats & dogs in NY! You can always count on 3 days of nothing but rain in NY when you really need the sun the most. Enough with my rant, I was looking back at the couple of blog posts I did this summer along with the pictures I took and although I didn't do everything I wanted to do this summer, I managed to have a lot of good times and create great memories! I put myself out there, made a handful of new friends (that I plan on keeping), and I even conquered my fear of swimming in the ocean (ok more like jumping waves but I still did it!). I'm really glad with how my summer turned out and the nerd in me can't wait to start a fresh new semester tomorrow. My schedule this semester is perfect (I had to switch that bad boy up 3 times during the summer but I did it) and I am honestly excited that the summer is wrapping up so that Fall can arrive and I can celebrate my birthday with my best friend who I've missed SO MUCH for the past 3 months this summer.

I love wearing my hair straight! And as much as I love sporting the bold center part ala Kim Kardashian, I get quickly bored with my hair especially because I refuse to dye it or get any drastic hair cut. Back in HS I had shorter bangs (up until my junior year) and from what I could remember they were annoying as HELL and took me massive amounts of hairspray to hold them down. Since then I've grown out my bangs into longer layers but lately I've been bored again with my hair. I had been contemplating on going for bangs again (especially since the trend has died down a bit and I don't want to look like every girl walking down the street) and after seeing this piece in Seventeen Magazine, I KNEW just what to do!

It didn't take much thought SO I decided to ask a few of my girls if they thought I should, and I got the GREEN LIGHT from all of them! It was perfect! Not too drastic, but BOLD enough to notice the change. And if I decided I hated it, I had plenty of time to grow my bangs out before school. Well turns out, I LOVE IT! I hope YOU do too!

The week was filled with tons of last min/late night bbqs, countless trips to the mall, massive amounts of Starbucks intake, and the best part was finally going to Dorney Park for the 4th of July (I hadn't gone since I was like 15!). As promised I'm back! Let me start by recounting my adventures as of last week since they're the freshest in my mind!

So everyone and their mom by now has heard of Drake aka Aubrey Graham aka Jimmy on Degrassi and if you don't, then... where the hell you been hiding?? Under a rock?! Drake is very much loved here in New York, the hipsters love him, the hood kids love him, EVERYONE loves him! So for the release of his debut album, Drake made a sweet stop by Best Buy in Union Square on June 15, 2010. I couldn't make it to Best Buy because I was too busy packing for a trip to Long Island (which I will mention in detail in a later post) but I did hear news that he was going to be performing later on that night at the South Street Seaport. I figured I would go and make my last day in NYC a day to remember! I guess I wasn't the only one who had heard of this because apparently 25,000 other people ended up going too! Incase you've never been to the SSP it's really nice and it definitely cannot host anywhere near 25,000 screaming, rowdy, teenagers! When I got there, I felt like I was trapped in some sort of wild island full of teens! I couldn't find a decent spot to see the stage at all so I decided to walk around since I was alone and finding my friends would be impossible. I managed to eventually make my way to the middle floor of the crowd but not before running into an old high school friend, dropping (and thankfully finding) my pearl and gold stud earring, and then running into an old Aeropostale co-worker (who I stuck with and helped us find a decent spot). The atmosphere at the SSP felt like spring break with beach balls going around and people throwing open bottles of water at each other. I waited for about 1 hour and 30min when I started seeing Drake (@drakkardnoir) tweeting about how the show wasn't going to happen because the crowd was too rowdy and there were too many people! After seeing this I left and was able to avoid the crazy rampage that went down including that one girl who we all saw on the news who threw an UNO table from the top balcony! I was saddened because I didn't get a concert but it was definitely a day to remember!

For a person who does all of their shopping in the city, you'd be surprised to know that I live in THE BRONX! Yupp, I just sleep here I don't like to shop much around here because 1. There aren't good stores and 2. Clothing around here isn't exactly all that nice and appealing! Well today I went around with my mom, she went into a few stores and rack of sun glasses caught my eye! They had really decent (ok NICE) looking sunglasses! I found 3 pairs that I LOVED including an alligator print (that I didn't purchase and now regret!) but since I don't wear sunglasses often (because I don't find flattering ones) I narrowed it down to two pairs. I'm not even gonna lie it was a freaking awesome deal at 99cents a pop!!!!

I got inspired by MAC's To The Beach Collection when I saw the MUA at my local MAC counter rocking Shimmermoss eyeshadow as an all over color on her lid and lower lashes. I thought the color looked extremely beautiful on her but I would never be bold enough to wear it myself. I remembered that I own a Stila charmed eye shadow palette that has a teal almost if not an exact dupe to Shimmermoss. I GOT EXCITED! I thought of a subtle way and easy way to rock the teal color without having people stare at me (as if I'm crazy) in the streets.

Things You'll Need: MAC Fix +, Teal Color Eyeshadow, Flat Liner Brush

How to:

1. Take flat-liner brush and spray fix + on each side of brush (water works too but for some reason I've found that fix + doesn't water down the eyeshadow and it helps with staying power... I mean SMUDGEPROOF!)

2. Dip brush into a corner of the eyeshadow (you will notice the eyeshadow dent immediately and turn to a creamy consistency... choose a corner and stick to it that way you don't ruin the middle of your eyeshadow)

3. Start lining your lower lash line just as you would if you were using a pencil eyeliner or lining with a gel eyeliner. It shouldn't be hard at all if you're using a flat liner brush because the flat tip will be your guide!

Tip: Begin to line where your thick lashes start for a subtle look or for a more dramatic edge begin from your inner corner and use the same shadow as an inner corner highlight (but don't line your top lashes because that's TOO dramatic!)

Voila, you now have a pretty lashline color using your own eyeshadow!

My summer officially began Monday, May 24 at 10:30am when I handed in my finished English Final Exam! Now I have a whole month's worth of time on my hands before I get started on my RA summer job in July. June is going to be a great month and one of the reasons is because Briana of bri. unscripted is coming to New York and I plan on showing her around (not to mention going shopping) around the city! Along with that, I'm so excited for MAC's new TO THE BEACH collection! I really wanted to buy the Marine Life highlighter but it sold out (AFTER 2 HRS OF RELEASE!) so I had to settle for Hipness Frost Powder blush which is a pretty pretty PRETTY peach coral color (with SUBTLE pink and silver shimmers)! This weekend I stocked up on a few MAC pieces and a Revlon lipgloss I've been eyeing now!

Left to Right: Revlon Super Lustrous Gloss in 040 Nude Lustre, MAC Smile Dazzleglass, MAC Springsheen Sheertone Blush

Nude Lustre - Lives up to its name! Super nude with pink undertones and tiny shimmery specks. The formula is not sticky at all, and its so moisturizing!

MAC Smile Dazzle Glass - WOW my lighting is off! This is def not a baby pink! Its a bright coral w/ purple and white specks. This gloss is SUPER sticky! The applicator is a brush not like the usual lipglass doe-foots.

MAC Springsheen Sheertone Blush - Bright coral blush w/ an orange undertone and gold shimmers. Reminds me of Nars Orgasm but without the drastic chunky glittery pieces. Although its a sheertone, this blush is very pigmented and it doesn't require layering.

Its so obvious I'm in love with Nudes and Corals for this summer season!

Back In Shape

So I realized I gained 5-10lbs since college began! Freshman 15? OH NO! There are still 2 weeks left before the semester is over and I am DETERMINED to end the semester IN SHAPE! I'm a lazy bum when it comes to working out so I'm going to DIET big time! I'm not going to stop eating! HELL NO I LOVE FOOD WAY TOO MUCH FOR THAT! But I am going to CUT OUT ALL THE CRAP! I technically started dieting last week but that when out the window once I had a slice of pizza : ( So this week I'm starting off fresh and here's what I had to eat today:

7:00am - Blueberry/Strawberry/Oatmeal smoothie (its DELICIOUS!)
9:30am - One pack of (2) Nature's Valley Honey Oat granola bars & Starbucks grande coffee w/half & half milk and four sweet n low sugar packets
1:00pm - McDonald's Grilled Chicken Cesar salad and bottled water (the majority of calories consumed were during lunch NOT throughout the day!)
3:00 - 5 mini Quaker chocolate rice snacks (they're 60 calories per 8 snacks!)
6:00 - Special K cereal w/ 2% milk
and later if I'm hungry I'll make the same smoothie I had this morning

Now you're probably thinking DAMN YOU ATE OD! but I had smaller portions of everything and I was hungry at times but I had snacks in between. When dieting the ideal number of meals are 5 small ones per day, I definitely accomplished that today! I don't want to be super thin just because I like having curves but I do want to be healthy and I don't need the excessive pounds I gained for eating unhealthy food!

SEEK Honors Society Dinner

The SEEK Honors Society Dinner was so nice! My mom was my guest and we bonded SO much last night. Cuban food was served and it was AMAZING! After dinner they started giving out awards and of COURSE everyone had to get up to get theirs once their name was called. I'm so accident-prone & I was wearing heels BUT thankfully my walk was smooth and I didn't trip! Two of my friends were also recognized, shoutouts to Aaron Haze & Isabel Marcos!

Its finally the best month of the year: MAY! It marks the beginning of warm weather and most importantly the end of the Spring semester for us college students. Now that the warm has arrived its making me want to attend bbqs and spend my breaks walking along the busy streets of SoHo sipping on some iced-ANYTHING! There are only two more weeks left till classes & finals are officially over at Hunter. I'm so glad I survived my first year of college but definitely not without a few slips, trips and THANKFULLY NOOOOO rips HAHA! So I've almost survived my entire freshman year. Just one more month to go, I know I can do this. This has got to be my favorite part of the year. The sun is constantly shining and you get that daily anxious feeling just knowing that summer is RIGHT around the corner. I'm doing way better this semester and I don't expect anything less than a B in any class. That being said this spring weather has me so happy (daily!). I also finished all of my summer shopping yayyy. I pretty much got the works, sandals, shorts, dresses, tops, and skirts! So today I discovered....

Well first I scored myself a new internship yayy me! Yes I looked for the internship, went to the interview, got the job, ALL BY MYSELF! Talk about Ms. Independent huh? Along with my rocking new internship I have also managed to land myself a possible summer job as Resident Advisor for high school students taking college classes. How AWESOME IS THAT!
I'm really making things happen for myself and I'm loving it.
I've already started my spring/summer shopping. Tons of flats, tanks, shorts, and a new Coach bag ooo yess my holy grail! Now that I have satisfied my fashion urges, I've also been into makeup. LOTS AND LOTS of makeup! I don't wear everything at once but my MAC collection definetly grew in the past month!

Makeup! Woohoo! I went nuts this week and I decided I needed to stock up on some new refreshing beauty items. I've always been aware that brands like NARS, MAC, and STILA etc. DO exsist, I just never thought I needed to blow massive amounts of money on it. Lately I've been getting frustrated with my makeup, I would apply it in the morning and by the time I had to go work after class it would be GONE! That's when I decided I needed an upgrade because I'm getting older I guess it is time for me to branch out and experiment with new brands and colors. First I'll post a picture of everything I got then I'll explain what it is and when I got it =] (btw I feel my first beauty vlog coming up on these purchases!)

So I will start in the order of the purchases I made:

1. Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Rollerball Perfume $16 @Sephora

The first time I smelled this scent I didnt know what it was. One of my college friends wore this scent (she also has tons of Juicy items) and I always thought WOW! She smells fresh clean! Then one day playing around at Sephora I sniffed the sample and I knew this is what she wears! I didn't buy it that same day or after that either but after randomly going to a Sephora last Friday I finally got it and I love it, I def will buy a full size bottle once this rollerball runs out!

2. Sephora Mattifying Foundation in D30 Medium Sand $20 @Sephora
So I ran out of my regular mineral foundation and I thought I would pick up a different one at Sephora. After asking a salesgirl to help me find my color she mentioned that whatever I had on wasnt my true color! =[ So I knew I had to buy any foundation ASAP! She tested some of this on me on OMG what a difference! This shade matches me 110% I loveeee mattifying powders and this one is AWESOME it makes your face look like the texture of a baby's, noooo visible pores, no shiny spots, just awesome BARE SKIN! The best part is using it with a wet wedge sponge to apply, it goes on wet and dries on matte! Science and Beauty go hand in hand!!!!!!!

3/4. MAC Frost Powder Blush in Margin $16 and MAC PlushGlass in Big Baby $18 @Bloomingdales MAC counter
Since my regular drugstore blush wasnt cutting it, I decided to switch to a more renowned brand. I thought of buying the cult favorite NARS blush in Orgasm but I figured EVERYONE has it and it has just as much raves as rants. I went for the MAC Powder Blush in Peach but there wasnt anymore of it left in stock so I tried the Frost version in Margin which is not to harsh but since its pigmented, its easy to overdo it. Nonetheless, this blush rocks! You only need a little bit and its sooo long lasting you'll be prettily blushing for hours. Its also like the MAC version of NARS Orgasm so win-win for me. To match the blush I wanted a lipglass the color of my lips. The closest thing was a PlushGlass in Big Baby. I didnt know this was a plumping lip gloss and since I already have full lips this does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR ME but it doesn't matter bc I don't go for plumping lipglosses. I doooo love the tingly sensation that comes with this lip plumper and on me it goes on sheer because its the exact color of my lips.

5. Stila Charmed Eyeshadow Palette $15 @Urban Outfitters
I didn't plan on buying any eyeshadows this week but I HAD TO HAVE THIS PALETTE!!! No lie, its infused with 24k gold and if you READ THE INGREDIENTS, IT SAYS GOLD!!!!! Crazy right?! But for this price it was soooo worth it. I tried two colors on today (application at 8am) and right now its 9:21 and the color is still on! Thats the staying power of gold =D

The other day I recieved a message on facebook from sister Allision, a member of the non-Greek all Latina sorority, Gamma Ce Upsilon. The sorority is comprised of strong, itelligent Latina women. They're awesome role-models and I'm soooo interested in pledging (no hazing involved)! This comes to me at a point in my life where change is good! I'm a college student and I work part-time at Aeropostale, so I don't have time to sit and chat and meet new girl friends! A girl can never have to many girl friends especially talented ones! : )

Today was a giant snow day in NYC big enough that all NYC Public Schools were cancelled the night before the snow storm. WOAH!

Hunter was closed too but it was my day off from classes anyhow -_-

Apparently my first class for tomorrow is cancelled and I hope that my second one is cancelled as well so I wont have to drag my bum to school for one darn class (Theater)

After this lazy bug that struck me for too freaking long things are starting to look up again and work has been fun lately so I'm managing.

Somehow I associate Spring time with energy sun-filled cool breezy days and the only reason I'm surviving this horrible winter in NYC is because I'm secretly living for the SPRING shhh >=X

Not to mention, spring trends are my favorite!

Well the truth is I'm loving Chegg (the online website that allows you to rent your books for the semester instead of buying them) and the reason I'm loving it is because I rented two very expensive books and saved $129 dollars! Not only do they plant a tree in my name for every book I rent, but the books came to me brand new! I'M IMPRESSED!

Another thing I'm loving are my new UGG boots! They're so cute and I haven't seen anyone in them (they're limited editions so they wont be regularly on sale) =)

I DO NOT plan on slacking with my blog again so heres my catching up. This past week I started my second semester at Hunter College and I absolutely love all of my classes yayy! The classes I'm taking this semester (in order from most to least favorite) are Basic Acting (awesome!), Human Sexuality, Latin Communities in the USA, and English (boring). I rented all of my expensive books from Chegg and the rest were super cheap off of Amazon. Along with new books I also got a new look well kinda, I cut my hair as you can noticeably see in the picture above. The jacket I ordered from my last post was too big on me and it was a hassle trying to return it at the Epic Hollister store in Soho (the sales associates were all total airheads) but I did manage to score a pair of jeans and an awesome cardigan vest. And to go along with my new clothes whats better than a brand spanking new pair of UGGs?! I ordered these babies from Zappos

I love them and the best part is I have not seen ANYONE in NYC with them!

Oh and I always save the BEST for LAST...look what I got my bestfriend for her 19th birthday!!!

...somehow it was sold out before I could even blink!

So now that that's checked off my to-buy list I'm also taking off the vans which I don't want anymore but I'm replacing them with these bad boys

These are a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Marly Wedges and I need to give kudos to a very talented girl Virginia Sena because through her I discovered this shoe designer! I can definitely see myself rocking these in the summer with a nice dress, skirt, or shorts!

Now I just need to find a nice dress hahaha

ANYWAYS, school is right around the corner (this Thursday to be exact) and I can't wait to see who will be in my classes and what professors I've been struck with!

Things I WANT (and will get haha)

I know I just blogged about how awesome my day is but now I am bored to death home alone so I'm going to make a list of things I want and hopefully I can say I have it later on = P

1. I know I work at Aero, but I haven't seen this top yet and when I do I will buy it to wear for work and plus I'm loving the color - I will choose navy blue over black ANY DAY!

2. I tried this on at the Epic Hollister in Soho, New York and I fell in love! I wanted it so bad but it was $99.50 when I saw it grrrr but now its on sale online for freaking $34.95!!!!!!! This is MY MUST HAVE! When you live in New York I don't care at all you can never have too many coats or jackets!

3. Another Hollister number. This adorable vest is calling my name!

4. I want a pair of vans for work!

5. I want these moccasins for everyday (and work)!

I cannot get over my new blog makeover, I love how everything turned out (even though I might do some tweaks here and there). So anyways I'm so happy today and it all started with a trip to McDonald's this morning. I have been wanting a McDonald's breakfast for SO long but I never get up and ready in the morning before 11am to make the breakfast cutoff time but I did it! I did have to sacrifice skipping half of the Wendy Williams show but it was so worth it for the Egg McMuffin, Hash Brown, Coffee, and Cinnamon Melts...mmmm! Well yea since my morning breakfast was so amazingggg I have the feeling that so will the rest of my day including work later on. Sales at

have been slow so my 7-12 shift will probably be 7-11 =D, that being said I just remembered I need to stock up on Red Bull! Tootles!!

Not really lol I got paid last night...well so technically it was today because my shift was over at 12am and incase you're wondering, I work at the flagship Aeropostale on 34th street : )

(It was really hot today so I made it a tights day...sorry Rasheeda dont kill me I know how you feel about wearing tights with shirts that dont cover the CROTCH area.... If you wanna know what I'm talking about check out Rasheeda's blog boomld.blogspot.com)

So anywho I love pay day even though half of my check goes straight to my mother's bank account because I owe her $ hahaha! On another note...
I love an excuse to get out the house and go into the city <3
Today's excuse was: I need a facial cleanser and a really good hand cream! Where else can I get both? SEPHORA duh!! So I went to the Sephora in Herald Sq. and I bought a Clinique kit I think its going to do wonders : ) I couldnt find the hand cream I wanted from L'Occitane but fortunately there was also a lady looking for it and she informed me that I should go to their boutique on 3rd Ave andddd... THATS WHERE I WENT!! I got just what I wanted today, now lets see how I can make $70 last me two weeks so I wont have to keep borrowing money from my mother =/

I found this picture of me! This picture actually isn't recent at all. Its sometime in the Spring of 2009 (March, April?)... well yea anywho, this picture had me thinking about my internship at The East Harlem School (which is where I took this bathroom picture hahaha) it was a fun experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat. For the entire Spring semester of Senior Year I was given the chance to intern at a school where I got to substitute, run errands around the city, and grow as a student. This was the first time I spent months without seeing my friends for 8hrs straight and I was alone in a school where none of my friends interned!! I gotta admit it was a scary transition and I grew to love it alot more towards the end (sad I know) but honestly this internship was life changing and made me grow up alot faster right before college *tears enough said I would do it all again in a heartbeat! And now drum roll please!!!!

One... I had to give up SuheyCita (my iTouch) BUT

I got a new baby who I love just as much <3

Two...I passed my math exit exam woohooo!!

Its early January and I have a sudden urge to wear a black short pencil skirt a flowy top and some heels!!

Apples UP, Math d o w n!!!!

So today I had an appointment at 3:50 to see one of the "Genius" at the Apple Store on 5th Ave <3

I was hoping to come home with a new one but at least I got a solution to my ipod problem and if it doesnt work I get a new one yayyy!

So I got to the store at around 3:48, right on time I know!

After I spoke to a "Genius" I headed to Hunter on the "N" then "6" train - because I needed to eat before I took my math freaking exit exam at 5:30

I had some awesome pizzaaaaa and some not so awesome garlic knots lol

After that I had time to spare so we got to Hunter I bought a redbull from the vending machine

The test was ok I managed to answer every problem and I prayed to God that I passed becase I DO NOT want to take remedial math again :'(

Finally! So much to catch up on!

Well first things first...

I survived my first semester of COLLEGE!! WooHoo!! And BOY WAS IT AWESOME : )

Between late night readings (yea right) and writing papers at 3am! (ugh) I managed to get two pretty A's so far!!

I've made more friends than I imagined I would make, and I no longer feel or LOOK like an obvious first semester freshman!

I've also done tons of shopping...too much shopping... OK OK! EXCESSIVE SHOPPING!

But...

I scored a job at the NEW Flagship Aeropostale so its ok right I'm allowed to splurge?! >: )

2009 is almost over but these past few weeks have been the highlight of my year!

I can't wait for 2010 to see what a new year will bring but I bet it will start just as good as how 2009 ended

This year is definitely going to be a year of BIG CHANGES, NEW FRIENDS, and hopefully LOVE <3

Busy Girl

Today is my day off! Yayy!

I feel like college KEEPS you busy.. its my second week and this past weekend I felt like it was the first time that I actually was able to have a conversation over AIM without having to cut it short.

Not that its a bad thing but I just don't like people assuming I don't want to talk to them (I guess that's what my blog is for-lets me explain situations!).. like DUDE! I'M IN CLASS STOP WRITING TO ME!! haha

But yea..

Its the second week and I still barely know anyone -_-

Everyone is caught in their own world literally so it makes it akward for me to just start randomly talking to anyone in the class lol... any suggestions on how to fix this?

But on a good note I like my classes and I'm LOVING the college experience =D

So college was everything I dreamed of... like HS but with more freedom and mature people lol : )

So far its the second day and I have roughly 3 friends? (Rasheeda, Rafael, and a kid named Sean who knows my name.. Lmao that number is growing I'm working on it!) Anyways despite the fact that on the first day I got lost and I didnt realize it until I noticed rm921 was the men's room (nooo I didnt go inside!) and that today I casually sat in the wrong class room for 10mins until the teacher showed up talking about "Welcome to SOCIOLOGY!" (what!? I thought this was GEOGRAPHY!) my first two days of college went really good! I texted Rasheeda during my breaks and met up with Rafael for lunch and a stroll in Central Park : )

If it wasnt for this guy right here I wouldve felt SO out of place!

And as a great bff I couldnt miss her college orientation today even if it meant I had to pretend that I was an incoming freshman there lol (btw it was fun!)

John Jay is definitley a school full of distractions! Boys here, boys there, spanish people everywhere!!

But nontheless this will be my school away from school bc I will definitely be paying Kiana some visits during my class breaks!!
